another hot and humid one Monday night: Death Cab at Merriweather. REM/Modest Mouse/National at MPP on Wed. Plant-Krauss on Friday at MPP. Just can't do it all. Makes me sad (but also with a few more $$ in my pocket).

For those going to see REM, get to know the new album. I caught them last week and loved it, but the set was heavy with the Accelerate album.

Jamie Lidell's show last night will be one of the best this year AND one of the best I've seen at the club. He was just sooooooooo amazing.

Jennifer O'Connor opened. Great set as well. She's way underrated and underappreciated.

Yes. One of my favorite shows this year as well. Even better than the black cat show in '06. Right up there with Carla Bozulich but for different reasons, obviously. I thought Jennifer O'Connor was bland and slightly boring, though
