Sunday: A Minor Forest @ DC9 (and maybe back-and-forth with the show at the Velvet with Kohoutek/Taiwan Housing Project/Tulsa)

Next week: going to Todd Barry (late) @ 6th & I, and maybe some other stuff.

Really liking what I have heard of that Taiwan Housing Project stuff.

This is pretty funny. I always liked her rap voice and her real voice. I think both are sexy, although SOMETIMES her rap voice can be annoying. Her mixtapes are better than her album, but she definitely has an amazing attitude in her music.

got invited, to go see the birthday show on monday, by a good friend . . . but i cant go, because of work responsibilities.  damn you, sensible brain.

The Skull Defekts played some kick ass Swedish street metal.  Too bad Daniel Higgs wasn't with them.  Oh well, at least I got to see that lineup once.

Also, it was a sweet surprise that Sam from Future Islands joined Microkingdom on a cover (not sure what it was a cover of though)…

Friday- Pictureplane/Chiffon/Abdu Ali at the Crown
Saturday - either of Montreal (most likely) at the Ottobar or Tobacco/the Stargazer Lilies at U St

Crowd at Ottobar for Slint was the worst I've seen in a long time. I can't believe these 10 guys paid 35$ each just to have fun annoying other people. Anyway, it was a good choice to also see Slint in Philly, whih turn out to be much better  :-\

So much shit going on Saturday.

I almost forgot about Wye Oak at the 930 Club this week.

thats what happens, when you, choose to go to the ottobar.

I didn't have any problems with the slint crowd. I was in the front right area of the stage
