I'll be at Red Fang / Big Biz on Saturday. Should be a hot sweaty mess.

On Saturday? Gold Bears is (supposedly) doing an in-store on Sat @5pm in Richmond I'm going to. Seems weird to risk getting stuck in traffic and miss a paying gig to do a free in-store in RVA.
Wrong week.

I am going to the Baltimore show, on May 31. You are talking about the June 7 show in Richmond.
I think I'll join you for that Baltimore show. Couple bands I've never heard of playing the DC show while the Baltimore show is hella stacked.
^ not going to Peter Brotzmann/Hamid Drake/William Parker? I think it's doable.
Nah, I want to catch every band on that bill.
Cool. Az we can talk.
I went to the free Arvo Part show yesterday at the Ken Cen and it was awesome.
I completely forgot about that until it was too late. The Flatmates thing was whatever.

Yes, I was surprised that even by arriving 2 hours before the set, I only got a ticket in the back of the venue. I guess it was sold out by 5pm? I wish I could have been closer, but it was very good nonetheless.
Got there at quarter of 6 and there was still a very large stack of tickets left.
whooooa! Was seated two seats from Arvo Part at the show tonight, and met him again at the Estonian Embassy part afterwards.

too many shows… not enough time… Been wanting to catch them for years and keep putting it off. Oh well.

Priests/Shondes/Pinkwash
Frank Turner
Possibly Pharoah Sanders
(never been to Blues Alley but nobody I know seems to have anything good to say about it. I need to scratch him off the list and he is getting way up there, though.)
Justin Marc Lloyd

Probably Glenn Jones next Sunday
Maybe Ladyfest
I'd be curious about Pharoah Sanders but given the price and distance, that's probably more easy to skip :/
Then I'm going to Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival in Montreal :)
