How was M83? I heard really good. I decided to sit out last minute. Just wanted to be outside doing other stuff w/ family.

very good show - still can't hold a candle to black cat '05 though
This week should be fun.
Friday - Ring of Honor TV taping at DU Burns in Baltimore (a wrestling promotion)
Friday - Sewn Leather at Golden West (depends on how I feel after RoH)
Saturday - Dope Body/Roomrunner at Coward Shoe
Monday - Polyphonic Spree (I can not wait! I have not been this excited for a show in a long time!!!!! I might even get to meet the band, will post pics if I do.)

all those attractive backup singers still give me a creepy/cultish vibe, tho.

funny to me that less band members does make give a more creepy vibe

After what James Ford wrote about the Birchmere??? I'd never be able to show my face around here again.

But seriously, I think I'm going to check out Scratch
Wed - The Dandy Warhols @ The Fillmore (SF)

Also with hume.  Its the venue grand opening.  Also Dan Deacon, Spank Rock, and Co La will be on DJ duties.
Beth Orton tomorrow. Anyone else?
Maybe Dawn Landes Sat. at JJ? Anyone? She goes on first..not sure I feel like paying for a 45min-1 hr show..Think she is solo acoustic sans Hounds?
Anyone headed to Damien Jurado at BC Monday?
Garbage Wed.?
David Mayfield at JJ on Thurs - he recently opened for Avett Bros. friend said really good if not better than AB, and in the same vein.
Still want to see GLS at RnR on the 27th but won't go without one of you.:)
Sunday - Summiting Mt. Rainier
Soundbites on Sunday. I have to try to pace myself better this year, but there's always so much good food.
Tonight is Ms. Director at BC and Father John Misty at RNR… Any chance anyone knows the set times? Is it realistic to see both bands tonight?
things permitting

Brad at the Red Palace on Tuesday
Babasonicos at the howard on Thursday
Thurs: We Are Serenades at the Independent.
Wonder if they'll play any Shout Out Louds songs.

U Hall is cool, like clubs at college and remind me of some overseas. Nice space, GREAT sound. Wish Seth had a hand in a few things to tweak. Overall good night, a little uncomfortable if you have to stand for awhile. There are stools, and a few places to lean, but grab early.
Anyone for Garbage?
Thursday - Mobtown Microshow with Holy Ghost Party
I can not wait.  Everyone in the area should attend at least one microshow.  Being silent and sitting on the floor (on pillows) might not sound like fun for everyone, but if you ever want an intimate show where a band records in front of you, then go catch one.

Upcoming schedule for mobtown:
May 24: Holy Ghost Party (Hoss Records)
June 21: Time Columns (Oxide Tones)
June 27: Lés Rhinoceros (Tzadik Records)
July 12: Soft Cat (Friends Records)

(im going to at least the Time Columns one, if not also the other two on the list)
Maryland Death Fest on Friday to see Godflesh and Unsane

help me
Babasónicos tonight, I have an extra if someone wants it
I really want to see the Ketamines at Comet tonight. I realize I've kind of gotten spoiled by being so close to most of the venues, and this one is way up in Chevy Chase (right? I haven't been there before)
