This week rollcall

I had a fever but it was brief.

Cold fevers tend to be that way. It's the cough that drags on and on sometimes, usually because of post nasal drip. Mucinex seems to make any cough I have worse because it thins the mucus too much. I found Sudafed to be much more useful, but you have to ask the pharmacist for it and show your ID. The store brand is just as good and often one third the price.

And congrats on your 10,000th post, though probably not the subject you wanted it to be  ;D
Hah didn't realize that at all.

Guess it is a cold, then. And yeah the cough seems to be wanting to hang here for a good while.
i got this nasty cold too as does my entire family.. WTF???
This calls for a Walkies conspiracy theory.
(I've had the cold for ~2 weeks now.  Guess I'm ahead of the curve.)
The old doctor's joke about colds is that they last a week if you treat them and seven days if you don't (but not counting the cough). That's usually the case for me. First day sore throat, then a day or two of feverishness, a few more days of snottiness, then seven to seven hundred days of coughing.
I'm just fucking COLD!!! Come on summer!!!!  8)

(No, that is not me holding the set list.)

That's the most disappointing thing I've read in weeks.
james blake, sunday
Did you make it?  Solid show though her voice was fried since it was the end of the tour. Didn't care too much…it's not like I listen to her for her ability to hit high notes.

Wish there had been some stuff off of her first album, but I was still pretty happy with the show.  She's easily one of the few new-ish musicians I really care about these days.  But also I'm old.

Still, nothing really beats that show at the RNR Hotel back in the day with Zach Hill.  That was insane.

Hoping to get over this cold/flu/whatever this thing is in time for Marnie Stern.

Nope. Still not 100% although I am close.
Nats/Cubs tonight! I went last year when we slammed them 10-0 or something. Tater after tater that night.
Saturday - MAYBE Crystal Castles at Rams Head Live since I have a free ticket to it, if I want it.  Gameday decision.

Monday - East Ghost, Jenny Besetzt, Lilac Shadows, and Motion Lines at Velvet
Owing to magic concert luck, the friend I am visiting in Richmond won tickets to see Joy Formidable at the National, so that's where I will be tonight.
ha, I won tickets to that show as well.  I guess everyone that entered won, must not have been selling well?  Either way they are great live.
;D
james blake was fucking incredible.
Yeah he was great. Kinda douchy crowd though. Well the group of people around me at least.
that's too bad.  center balcony was a pleasant enough crowd.
I was on the floor on the right. Had a beer spilled on me, countless people who never learned how to respect others' space nearby and a sloppy drunk girl grind vigorously up against a friend ruining "Limit to your Love" for her. Great times!
My patience for sold out Club shows is wearing super thin.

Possibly Bill Kouligas Wednesday
Give/Priests/Xanax/Hand Grenade Job Friday.
Either !!! or Flown Saturday.
the terminal 5 show review had similar instances - i could see how his music style attracts a bit of that crowd. not sure if you saw, but npr recorded last night, so look out for that.  should be less of a douchey experience.
