Wow. There may be a Tom Petty show in your future after all.

i'm in SF this week, leaving on friday morning.  i'll be coming here regularly for the next few months so i'd be most grateful for links to online concert calendars, clubs' websites that are worth keeping an eye on, etc.  so far i've been checking pollstar's SF page, but we all know how reliable and comprehensive pollstar is…

wouldn't it be great if every city had a resource like our "just announced" thread… :)
Don't know what their schedule is this week but check out Bottom Of The Hill.
here you go:

http://www.foopee.com/punk/the-list/ ;

http://www.theiroldershitwasbetter.com/ ;    (i like this site better…)

Looks like Kurt Vile with Wooden Shjips opening at the Hemlock tomorrow!  Go early as the Hemlock is a tiny space…smaller than Velvet  :o   Lots of hookers in the area, too  ;D

If you like rap, then Ghostface Killah is at Slim's tonight.

Looks like they are selling advanced tickets for Kurt Vile. It's rare for them selling advanced tix but here you go:
http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/80683

actually, if I were you, I'd rather go to Ezra Furman and the Harpoons with brakesbrakesbrakes at Rickshaw Stop…

you can catch Kurt Vile here in DC.

or you can do: Weezer first at Regency then Kurt Vile (probably on around 11-ish). You can walk from Regency to Hemlock, couple blocks.
awesome, thanks for the info!

just came across this which made me very happy… i was pissed at having to miss them in NYC but now it looks like i'll be able to catch them in SF:

Royksopp
Thursday, 11/19/09
The Regency Ballroom, San Francisco, CA
this will make azagh drool:

dec 12 - sat
- Evangelista, Thrones at the Hemlock 21+

dec 13 - sun
- Magik Markers, Sic Alps at the Hemlock 21+

popscene tends to have some good bands on thurs nights. not sure how hard it is to get tix tho as the club tends to be insanely packed.
