i share that sentiment on gogol bordello as well.  my first time seeing them i had a blast.  but i left the show feeling like i did not need to see them again for some reason.  oh well, glad to hear people still have a lot of fun at their shows.

i'm fresh back from phoenix @ the fillmore in SF.  in one word: wow.

i'm not saying this show was necessarily my "best show of the year" - i am however saying that it is the current front-runner, and any other aspirants to that crown will be judged against tonight (cognizant that we're only one month in(.  i'm also saying "hi smackie" and "i'll probably hate you in the morning, smackie".

seriously, phoenix live is the real deal.  i walked in there with huge expectations, and they thoroughly blew them out of the water.  this stuff is worth traveling up to NYC for (not that i'm hoping i next have to… a make-up show at the club would be awesome!).
