I dont know about Trance Arc, but Dead Confederate are nice. Their debut cd is good old fashioned rock and roll, much in the same vein as the Whigs. Ive heard a couple of semi accurate descriptions of them, like they are Bleach era Nirvana playing My Morning Jacket songs, or they are southern redneck shoegaze. Whatever the case, expect lots of distortion and tortured howling.

I'm changing it up. Matmos canceled their show tonight, so I'm going to NY to see Paper with Talk Normal, Graffiti Monsters, and Never Tune at the Cake Shop.

Did ya love the Whigs set? ;D THEY WERE SOOOO GOOOOOD.

My friend bailed on me, she said either we go see Watchmen in Gtown or we just do something tomorrow. She's giving me no choice! And I'm not fully sure if this will sell out or not, I wouldn't be surprised if it did. You can still buy tickets on ticketmaster though.

Sadly I've heard that they're boring, but I'm so bored I dunno what else to do with myself.
No Ticketmaster for me, I can't afford the service charges (to be honest I can't afford the ticket, I'm just desperate to get out of the house!). I'll keep my eyes on it til I leave, I guess.

I didn't really find the Black Lips "boring." They were energetic and so was the crowd. It just wasn't quite my thing…I felt really old. Crowd surfers make me so grumpy. But I got my fill of excitement when I returned to my car to find it had been broken into. Everything rifled through, nothing taken…ha!
