Bags' friend took some with his iPhone…I hope that he can get them to me somehow!

new board rule: when a boardee takes the stage, pics must be made available for public consumption. i'll remind everyone of a certain boardee's foray on stage with sharon jones @ lolla this past summer… :D

i'm really psyched about seeing soulwax night versions/2manyDJs this weekend. i was considering doing both NYC and philly, but looks like i'm going to have to skip tonight's NYC show. TBD. anyone else doing a roadtrip? soulwax night versions was one of my top 3 acts from coachella'07. amazing stuff, and SOOOOO much fun to dance to.

i'm about 80% sure i'll be at Soulwax…i've been trying to get a hotel booked for downtown philly for 4 weeks now and it's all sold out…

The Rosebuds were so much fun! This was the third time I've seen them, but the first time as a headliner and I couldn't imagine having more fun at a concert. It was such a hoot seeing Bearman up on stage and great hanging with Bags as always. I'm digging the new Rosebuds album.

I really enjoyed The Oranges Band, too. I definitely would have bought one or more of their CDs, but I ran out of cash. Next time….

so where are those pix of bearman on stage?!?

soulwax in philly was really good… and kinda weird. they had the world series on the giant screen behind the stage, and originally the idea was to start the show at mindnight, after the game should have been over. but with the 1.5 hour rain delay, teams where still deep in play by the time Late of the Pier took the stage - who insisted on keeping the game on behind them, much to the approval of the crowd. good band, would definitely check them out again. soulwax came on and also asked that the game be projected behind them, saying they'd provide the soundtrack. soulwax cimented their spot in my opinion as the best live+electronic dance act. not as mind-blowing as coachella but a ton of fun. the place went ape-shit when the phillies won, predictably enough. played for an hour, took a break, then came back for a 2manyDJs set (joe, i think you had left - silly boy). the DJ set was only ok, although that MGMT remix of theirs really kicks on a big sound system.

so bummed i had to miss late of the pier at CMJ. have been wanting to see them for awhile now. hopefully theyll be coming back here soon.

welp i gotta miss crystal antlers and jay reatard. really bummed about these two shows.
