How does one get in on that?
Its in a cafeteria/radio station type place, third floor, at College Park.  I went once and had a blast.  I just need to remember that it is happening and to not be late.
Student Union, I presume.
Its at South Campus Dining Hall, the cafeteria/radio place I mentioned. Its near the business school.

So I'm currently in a small joint in Fort worth, TX (Lola's), and the Polyphonic Spree go on in 15 mins. On their home-turf. Room holds 200 tops. Sipping a Ranger IPA. Life is alright.

So 50 in the band and 150 in the audience?
Sounds sweet, Sweetcell! I cant wait to see them at Sixth and I in 11 days.

Did anyone else go to the Balam Acab/Active Child show?  I should have done more research because I was not expecting most of Active Child's songs to be centered around a harp.  Somehow, even with a harp and operatic singing, they still remained dark and grooving (and amazing, this guy (the bassist/keyboardist and the drummer were touring players) is going to be huge one day).  Balam was good as well, especially sound wise, but he had the place almost completely black and his performance consisted of (i think) him triggering/layering samples hunched over a laptop and midi controller.  I could be wrong, it was hard to see. It was really good to see a witch house/dark R & B show in DC, since we dont get many.  The last one i saw was Salem last year.
the spree delivered.  great show, great energy.  loved it.  all those attractive backup singers still give me a creepy/cultish vibe, tho.

as you should.  i'm glad i got to catch them in TX, as i won't be able to make the 6th & I show.  speaking of which, i have a pair of tickets to the DC show that i need to sell so if anyone is looking please PM me.
maybe.
how was Spiritualized?
How was M83? I heard really good. I decided to sit out last minute. Just wanted to be outside doing other stuff w/ family.
It was good. The last time they played the Black Cat, the big sound  they were going for got swallowed up and muffled in that room. It had more room to breathe last night. Similar setlist to the last tour with a few new things tossed in. They played Sitting from the self titled album as well as their remix of a Daft Punk song from the Tron soundtrack. They still only play 70 minutes although they have five records worth of material which I do not understand. I was not feeling too hot and am worse today though so no complaints about the length.
