If this is because I called Wrestlemania lame, he can bite it. Everyone on here who's met me will tell you I would've mocked wrestling openly had I been speaking to him in person. No "screen names" involved.

"Too middle school" is dramatically leaving a community you, ostensibly, derived some benefit from because someone said they didn't like your recreational choices. Get real.

Was a little surprised as he was such an active poster and never got in the middle of the idiotic dust ups that seem to happen on this board every few days
who cares.

Did anyone go to the Walkmen show last weekend?
Sat - Battlemaster/Drugs of Faith

No, they are so 2005.
Thu Dinosaur Jr. @ Ottobar
Fri  Goblin @ 9:30

3rd time Dinosaur Jr. this year, but first time with Murph (probably) on drums.
And Goblin first time ever…
I'll probably go to the heavy metal night / Port City tap takeover at The Pinch Saturday. Borracho is decent live and its free. That Smokin' Brown Ale was really good last time.
Jucifer - friday
Cass Mccombs - saturday

Yes.  I was there.  After all the football nonsense.  Such a great show.  I saw them four days later in Philly at a benefit.  And I guess that's it for them?  Such a shame.  Such a great band.

Brian
god i would love to meet you at a show . . . and buy you, a water.
Fun Hives show last night. I really, really enjoyed Mary Timony's new band, Ex Hex. Great stuff.

Missed ExHex…but man was that a killer hives show.

My first and they really put on a fantastic show.  The lead singer actually talked and interacted with audience for the entire show.  Some bands don't even say hello or you get one little rant while the band swaps gear.
The whole band and the audience had a rockin time from start to finish.  The Ninja stagehands were classic too. The calorie count on that show very high.

I did think the ticket price was a little steep when I bought it ($86 for 2 tickets…damn fees!)…but in the show was worth every penny.
I will definitely see these guys again.
hoping to make Heavy Breathing at the ShowlistDC show at  Tropicalia tonight
also going to try and make Diarrhea Planet RNR Sunday!

very tempted for goblin Friday…but 6pm doors! yikes

What's the reason for this actually? I have to drive into DC, and unless there is a good reason for early shows, I am rather unhappy with this. I hope it is not just for some dance night.
^ there is a late show…it happens often. I guess DC has a shortage of venues and the only solution is to do early/late shows.
Hoping to catch the Diarrhea Planet show as well.

Ok, should've checked. Anyway I'm new to this thing at 9:30 but I hope it's not like some other venues where I've been and the band says "well sorry we can't play our encore, there is a dance night like right now". Rather disappointing when you drive X hours to see your favourite band.
