Wow this thread fell a few pages. I guess the snow is keeping people from attending live music events.
Tonight:
Baltimore Bass Connection 6th Annual XMas Party with Spank Rock, Amanda Blank, Death Set, etc.
I can't believe I missed this.

Roots tonight. I've only seen them once, and it was a shortened festival set. They were incredible, so I'm psyched for the 9:30 show tonight.

i've seen the roots 3 or 4 times this year. they had a late-night residency at the highline ballroom in NYC called "the jam" (b/c they'd have guests every night), also known as "the 10 dollar bill show" (b/c that's what it cost). easily the best entertainment value around - they killed it every night, whether they were playing their own stuff or backing up someone else.
with an 8:30 start and no opener, i'm hoping we get a nice long set from them.
strange that i'll be paying more to see them tonight then i have for all other shows this year combined.

All I've got this week is Dark Star Orchestra on NYE. Last year was a blast. Looking forward to this one.

Yup really pumped up for this one! I'm working on a set consisting of primarily instrumental tracks fortified with Hammond B3 for between bands.
I was checking out the opener's material last night and their studio tracks are bit too in the vein of Mark Ronson's production style for my liking. Maybe live it will be a different vibe…

Great NYE show, hopefully I can decipher my scribblings from my notebook. And to people who shouted HI, I wasn't ignoring you, it's just hard with short songs to stop and socialize.

Awesome show.
Joe on stage last night = epically hilarious. Me on stage post-show = nearly-crap-my-pants scary.

I wondered if that was Joe… Anyone got pictures they are willing to post ;D
Still buzzin from the night's event, heard that one the Dap-Kings was enjoying what I was spinning but couldn't get into the DJ booth due to the coat check line.
Thought that Fitz and the Tantrums were pretty harmless, although it seemed like the real star was the backup singer.

It really is undescribably scary up there. At least you didn't have to say anything. You think you have your thoughts organized, get up there and out the window it all goes.
