Ahhh…I didn't even think about checking that schedule.  And an early show?  That sounds pretty tempting.

Did they do the full version?  I had a text from Joe about them playing that and "Mogwai Fear Satan"; the last time I saw them, they did a way shortened version of the later.

I don't think I'll ever forget the wall of distortion that hit when they played "My Father My King" at the Ottobar.

Yeah, MFMK was the full version. I think it lasted a good 25 minutes. I think Mogwai Fear Satan is always a few minutes shorter than the album version live. Chris Brokaw sat in on drums for it making for double drummers. Brokaw also began his set with a nice guitar ambient piece that lasted roughly 15 minutes. I prefered that over much of the rest of his set.

I'm going to Elbow tonight.

Somehow I missed that there was even a Polvo show.  (Not that I could've gone, as I was in Chapel Hill over the weekend.)

I almost skipped the show last night. There were actually less people last night than the last club show.
I haven't heard MFMK live since 2002(!), so when the first few notes were played, I had a very happy face. Sorry, teepo! Maybe in 7 years?!  j/k
