Not as loud as the last couple tours which was kind of nice. Easier to hear what individual members of the band were doing. That included vocals. They had a few tech problems which resulted in a few false starts and a shortened "You Made Me Realise." Kevin was clearly pissed. Guitar techs probably cried themselves to sleep.

Oh I love that holocaust section part of the song.  It was so powerful at The National you could feel it lift you off the floor.  Was it like that last night?
;D
Not really. They launched into it and the sporadic dropouts began. It was aborted and they went back into the song maybe five minutes later.
Will be at Gary Clark Jr. tomorrow! Excited to see some shredddinnggg

Things just aren't as popular anymore.  MBV hadn't played Philly in 22 years and they barely sold out the Electric Factory. Apparently some of those Pixies shows have sold out (but without Kim Deal, Lord know why…) but not in Philly.  Fred Armisten had to move his show from the Factory to Underground Arts because of slow ticket sales. And with Portlandia, he's like the comedic Lou Reed of the 21st century.  Even the new Arcade Fire album has landed with a resounding thud.  Whilst blatantly trying to be the next U2 has always been unseemly, I bet Win Butler never thought it would be this unprofitable.

Tuesday - High on Fire / Kvelertak
Thursday - either Church of Misery or Absu (really tough decision!)
Would like to see High on Fire but Hayden is more important for me..
If the High on Fire show hasn't sold out by the time I get home from work, I'll probably go see that.
Yeezus!

Being artsy and playing Verizon doesn't sound like he is not meeting his profit goals.  Who would go to see the Pixies without Kim Deal?  They only have one song from the last 20 years and Kim Deal sang it. And they have done tons of shows over the  past few years.
that is twice today i have seen someone quote someone elses post, but then add nothing to it, so its just a big white picture of a billboard.  is it done because the person agrees with said post and wants to really emphasize it?
