I agree that Thievery Corporation should have been on that list.

Hah that comment was in response to her recent Thievery album review which honestly could be the review for the 2-3 Thievery albums prior.

thievery corp tonight
silopanna festival next saturday
Maybe the Plums album release Tuesday
David Kilgour Thursday!
Other than the always spotty Iota sound and the chatty idiots in the back, David Kilgour was great. Perfect mix of Clean classics and solo stuff. "Fish" was a very pleasant surprise. Richard Buckner seemed to have everyone in the room but me transfixed. I thought his set was pretty good but felt as though it dragged a bit in the last half hour. The "co-headline" billing was also misleading; Kilgour played for 45 minutes while Buckner got nearly 1:15. I'm typically a big proponent of "less is more" but wouldn't have minded if this were reversed.
Hold Steady Thursday – yay yay yay.
Subliminator/Akris/Cash Slave Clique Friday
Conor Oberst is what Ryan Adams wishes he could be.

I thought the last angsty record that he put out was I'm Wide Awake.

Simon Joyner is what Oberst and Adams wish they could be. ;D

you really do a great job i got to say.. developing quite the video stash/hoard!

I have a few friends who do the same thing regularly (I do every once in a while) .. except they don't post it…
I have not heard his most recent so it could be a return to angst but the previous two released under his name and Bright Eyes definitely were more relaxed for lack of a better term.
