Go early to Avoid traffic.

I went there to see Steely Dan last Wednesday.  I was prepared for the nightmarish traffic coming from western Fairfax Co. but I figured that on a Wednesday night, the parking wouldn't be so bad.  Nope - drove around and around in the garage trying to find a spot.  It took awhile but I found something.  I don't know if it will be worse on a Friday night.  There is no other parking nearby (unless you count National Harbor but that is quite a walk and parking is expensive there (at least it was the last and only time I was there many years ago).  I gave myself two hours to get there and I had about 20 minutes to spare.
