This week rollcall

I love Fw/B and Seth/930 fan forward contests, ticket deals etc.
got some Fiona tickets as well. never been to lincoln and want to check it out.
anyone know how the show was last night? i missed set times so i'm curiuos but i don't think she/he play more than 90 mins.
yeah i researched her set lists…on the 21st show seemed short about an hour but in nyc longer at one show but heard there are long moments of silence. didn't hear good things about blake's voice but that he is a good guitar player. i'm just excited to see the venue and receive a gift from the club. just trying to plan what time it will start for show doings before…kinda cool to get out early though with all the muckery going on downtown this weekend. nice to visit for something more low key though on a nice day on Fw/B.

maybe i'll "see" you in the balcony, yada.
Sunday - Kurt Vile/Beach Fossils
Friday - Either Janel and Anthony at Windup Space or Roomrunner (Nirvana), ESMB (David Bowie), White Life (the Cars) cover show
No Horse Lords Saturday for you?
Not this time.

Built to Spill->King Khan
Horse Lords
Sebadoh
Soo looking foward to the King Khan show!!

I might catch the cults on tuesday if I get motivated
then next Friday John Fogerty (yes I still hate DAR, but it's Fogerty and he's playing all the CCR stuff)
Pearl Jam solid as always last night, first time ever playing in Baltimore, an almost three hour show.  Eddie was very energetic through and the band ripped through some of their  "punkier" numbers i.e. "Spin The Black Circle".  Straight ahead rock and roll doesn't get much better than Pearl Jam live.

One interesting note is that fans in the GA pit were very respective of others personal space, half expected the beginning of the show crush to cause me to leave my spot, which was about 5 rows back from the stage.  But, was able to stay put for the entire show.  No barging for the front, etc taking place.  Except for a couple people even the picture taking was kept to a minimum…
Good to hear that you had a great time at the PJ show.  They have been playing like 30-34 songs so far on this tour.  Looking forward to them at Voodoo Fest
;D

Tonight: Scale the Summit @ Metro Gallery
Tomorrow: Frightened Rabbit (I think late)
Wednesday: maybe Voice @ Strathmore
Thursday: Inter Arma, Bastard Sapling @ Sidebar
Friday: Orange Goblin @ Empire
Saturday early: Vox Pop (a cappella) CD release
Saturday later: Pelican/Coliseum @ DC9

It's because we're all old now.

Did anyone go to the Kurt Vile show?  I ended up having to skip it…

this week updated:
Thursday - slight chance of attending Inter Arma
Friday - Either Janel and Anthony at Windup Space or Roomrunner (Nirvana), ESMB (David Bowie), White Life (the Cars) cover show
Sunday - Definitely will be at Sebadoh! I bought my ticket last week, in case the Back Stage sells out!
I'll be at DC9 for Pelican & Coliseum on Saturday.

Dunno if I'm doing anything else this week….maybe.
Fleshtones / Los Straitjackets / Southern Culture on the Skids tonight!

Kind of shocked that The Fleshtones are playing first.  Mixed-blessing.
I'm going to this 4-bands show in Philadelphia tomorrow, mostly to see
Melt Banana since I can't go to the DC show and King Khan since they happen
to be on the same bill. How much you would recommend the other bands?

Man Man
King Khan & The Shrines
MELT-BANANA
Hell Shovel
What a bizzarro bill.
I know nothing about the fourth act but Man Man are fun once or twice.
10/31 - The John K Band @ Rams Head
been hearing that is a show to go to . . . a total jerry tribute show, i think

well john k always concentrates on jerry garcia band songs…which i like.. the difference i think is he's going to play an entire jerry garcia show here which he hasn't done that i know of…but then again you probably knew that..
