I hope to make it to Lucinda Williams next Tuesday in Baltimore…
This has been a really long stretch for me without concerts..one month….but I just couldn't muster the excitement for a few shows that were on my radar the past month…
It has been I think 10 years since I've seen her.. a very long time…. she was one of my favorite musicians in the 1990s/early 2000s but I just didn't love any of the stuff after World WIthout Tears until Down where the Spirit meets the bone (that I didn't really listen to until last year)… West, Little Honey and Blessed didn't do much for me.. but the new one I really love…go figure… probably I was just burnt out on her.. I dunno…maybe there was a dip in her output but I doubt she fell off the cliff and it sort of felt like that to me…
