i am going to try to make friday night
Contemplating Steel Pulse at the Fillmore.  Anyone see them recently?
I've been trying to score economical tickets to the Stevie Wonder show this Saturday because my son really likes him, but I couldn't find anything less than $100 per ticket and my thought was "fuck that" so I basically gave up on the idea and now a buddy of mine is emailing saying he'll give me (just me) a free ticket to the show but I can't get over my earlier disappointment plus I'll feel like a dick saying to my kid "Remember that show we were going to go to? Well, I'm going, without you." So I don't even know because while I like Stevie Wonder, I don't like-like him.

You're being totally crazy!

I am on the fence about attending Michigan @ Maryland (football) this weekend. Don't really want to sit outside in torrential rain for this and now they are talking about moving it from a 8pm kickoff to noon which would totally involve me moving my whole weekend around. Thanks alot, Joaquin!
^
that's a tough one
Why don't you just give your son the ticket?
or is he too young?

Yeah, he's 11 and kind of a wiener. Plus, he'd be going with three grown men who will be drinking, smoking and saying the F word.
This whole problem would never have arisen if it was a performance by a herd of shrieking Korean teenage girls.

Ouch..hope you don't tell him that to his face  ;D
and what a better real life education that that
buy the tickets and take him. My parents never did that for me and it still makes me sad sometimes!
Sidehatch is going to Luna even if he won't admit to it on this board cause they're more than 20 years old….
FFS tomorrow in Philly  ;D

Social security isn't the safety net it used to be
gotta support these old fogies anyway I can

but I was cautious about board protocol …as technically that should have been posted in Next Weeks Rollcall thread

but I am very much looking forward to it…also very happy it's not sold out (not for the band or seth…just me)

the blurb for the opener Diane Coffee scares me
Everybody?s A Good Dog took shape after this former Disney child actor and current drummer for Foxygen

… channeling the New York Dolls or T-Rex at their strutting-est and Meatloaf at his most theatrical, with shades of Motown-worthy soul. The gentle psychedellia on opener ?Spring Breathes? gives way to a pounding prog breakdown, ?Mayflower? leads with a monster funk-fueled horn riff, while on ?Tams Up? Fleming fronts his own one-man doo-wop group.

also for those keeping count…my second free show from Friends with Benefits membership!

I think it just depends on who you are.  I tend to post the shows from the upcoming week on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
