anyone want to join me?

Jules, if you leave now, you can be at Silver Spring by 830
Bro, I’m in Reston this week. I didn’t even see this for an hour and I could still be there before 830.

Are you friends with the couple we know who were giving away a pair of tickets last night?

They offered a pair to us, but we were enjoying our 20th anniversary date too much to have it interrupted by a Frank Turner show.
Sierra Hull/Neal Francis, Richmond, Saturday, 60/40
Caroline Polachek, Friday, 0/100 if I have to pay face+fees, 50/50 if I can get something at face, 70/30 if I can get a ticket $5-10 below face, with fees, 100/0 if I can get a ticket for more than $10 below face.
Headed to the Black Cat Friday primarily to see The Velveteers, may stick around to see The Blue Stones who I'm less interested in..

This is actually Saturday… but I'm finding The Blue Stones a bit slick for my tastes, but they are from Windsor aka South Detroit so maybe I'll give them a chance live.
Wednesday-Phantom Planet*
Friday-Walkmen**
***

* Fun fact, PP's longtime bassist is also the bassist for Maroon 5.
**Stupidly paid full fare for this one, though no fees. Originally bought a Wed ticket but thanks to fellow boardie for trading nights with ,e.
***If the Stubhob discount gods would smile on me, also interested in the National (Tuesday) and Flaming Lips (Thursday.)
Space,  you'll be having nightmare for weeks if you look at current Friday stubhub prices.

No big whoop. Shopping for shows on Stubhub is like thrift store shopping. If I'm there I'm just seeing if I can get something I like for a bargain. If there's nothing available, not a big deal because I have everything I need anyway.
Tuesday - The Walkmen
Thursday - The Flaming Lips
Heading to The Lips tonight, haven't been to The Anthem in a while. Where is there a good chance of finding free parking around there?

Ashburn, VA
Not anywhere near there as its residential only and you'll get ticketed

I always park in front of HUD:

YLT tonight.  I'm the white guy with a t-shirt collared shirt  and shorts on.
Any recs for hotels in Columbia md near Merriweather for the Cure next Sunday night?

And, no, not spending $800+ on Lakehouse

Main priority is it be safe and relatively near…

So far Doubletree seems like leading contender
