David Byrne

They just released some tickets (so I'm going now).

In solidarity with Space, I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on $150 + fee tickets for this. I'll either wait until the last minute or catch him this summer at MPP.

tickets are selling for $15 for the show….
@ Ovens Auditorium — Charlotte, NC on Wed May 9 at 7:30pm

Don't think that price drop is going to happen in this market…

agreed…but if you want to travel to Chicago

Jun 2/3 sat/sun David Byrne Auditorium Theatre – Chicago, IL
tix are going in the $50 range….only 4000 person venue…but all seats

I think I'll travel to MPP in two months and buy a $25 seat.
Worth it. Wish I could also go to the Merriweather show, but I will be out of town. Such a great experience!!! Don't miss the opener either.
Fever Ray tonite!
Brandi Sat
must say a little bummed she is playing the entire new album, it's such a snoozer
such a deep cataloge and we might get 3-4 songs not on the new album and a cover

Gallagher / Ashcroft

I'll be there.  Is RA opening up?  There's no indication anywhere that he is.  Lincoln website says Doors 6:30/Show time 8.

That was for the SF show last week.  It would be an absolute shame if DC didn't get Ashcroft as well.  I thought his acoustic opening performance completely blew Liam's mailed in, hour long set away.

Hour long set, really???  I actually think the solo stuff is great and I'm also looking forward to hearing some Oasis songs, but I'll be miffed if he only plays for 60 minutes.  If that happens, I'll have no issue yelling that Noel's show was better.

12 songs, mate, 13 if you're lucky.  Now, maybe without an opener he'll expand it, but it was nowhere near Noel's 23 song set that I saw, and I much preferred Noel's Oasis song selections over Liam's.  But it was great to hear Liam rip through 3-4 tracks off of Definitely Maybe and I didn't expect him to play anything after the first two albums anyway.  Maybe that will change without Ashcroft opening.  He might even look like he didn't just roll out of bed in his orange hoodie for the show, but don't count on it.

Noel > Richard > Liam

But I enjoyed them all.

Well Van, you were spot-on with this.  No opener and Liam played for 54 minutes, according to my watch.  I will say that it was quite good, but I could've used about five more songs.  The ticket wasn't that expensive, so I didn't feel overly ripped off.
The Longshot; Friday night, Blackcat - anyone else?
Descendants - Sunday
Bruce on Broadway tomorrow ($75 lottery).  Pretty excited.

Glad I sold mine for face when I did!

Jack White, Tonight.

Now $14.47 on stubhub.
His recent setlists are kinda weird. He's playing 12-14 sets but following them with 10 song encores. Just do a big set, Jack!

I would argue that's a de facto second set at that point.
Good point. And in fact, Jack White seems like the guy who'd be way more into providing two sets than one set and a long encore.
