EVERYBODY'S INVITED! Stop by and say hi, at least. PM me if you need any details etc. (Note to self: figure out how PMs work on teh new bored.) Usually I'm easy to spot: look for the fiery red hair.

I really liked the first three songs on the new album, then it tails off badly for me. So i'm ready for the first three songs.

Debating going to see Edie Sedgwick tonight. Any thought on his shows? Worth losing sleep for?

Last time when he opened for the Juan MacLean he played with a full band with 2 background singers. I really enjoyed it…I am thinking of swinging by after the Yeasayer show if it's over by 11 pm.

I can't decide between the dan band or class tonight. Why must this be an early show with no openers.

Are you implying that those who go to the Dan Band have no class?

At least 3/4 in LA, but the numbers in DC would be lower.
I'll go with just less than 50%.
They draw a target-rich environment.

Agreed and that's why I'm afraid the DC show won't live up to my LA dan band experience.

I hope to be at Nada Surf. Who's bringing the hot brie and bread? (i.e., maybe not n official forum holiday party, but looks like a few forumites will be at this show - how's about a drink and hello in the backbar b/w sets?)

Nice idea…would need to be between first and second band, aas I'm sure we'll all be holding our places near the front for Nada Surf!

Looking at the set times, appears JGs will be playing about 1/2 hour. Quick turnaround b/w them and Delta Spirit…
Do we still run roll call threads?…I'm too shy to start one assuming this thread is sufficient.
Anyhow, any forumites going to Nada Surf? Raise your hand & if you want to meet up post here or in a roll call.
Rhett - if no responses, we can organize offline…wear your forumite pin for recognition. I'll bring samplers and stickers you don't want. ;)

Yeasayer killed it at Sixth and I - one of the best this year for sure. Did anyone else go?
http://dcist.com/2008/12/05/click_click_yeasayer_6th_i.phpNext week is Jukebox the Ghost (Friday). Maybe the Points on Wednesday at the Velvet.
