they didn't cancel but i'm not a big fan, so i stuck with "eastbound and down" and i'm fine with that decision.

Richard Buckner this Thursday at IOTA (though getting there is a bitch).

So far this week is AC Newman at BC only. Which sucks since it is Spring Break, and it doesnt matter how many shows i do this week.
Pogues on Tues / AC Newman on Wed
any chance that AC newman will sell out?

rest of the week: meeting french directors and seeing french films at the french film festival.
Is this in D.C.? Do you have a link?
I think I got an e-mail about it the other week from the Maison Française, but couldn't read it (my work blocks all of Yahoo Mail except the preview pane), and then I forgot to look at it at home…
BTW… I finally dug up the e-mail in question, and information on the series is here:

Have to disagree with Julian. Always thought their music was okay. Not great but not bad. Then I saw them do a couple songs last summer when they opened for Swervedriver at the 9:30 Club and was pleasantly surprised. Much better live than I had expected. Not blown away but very much enjoyed them and wouldn't mind seeing them live again. Maybe he's right about them getting better. Due to attending a party beforehand, I missed their entire set and was very sorry to have missed the early part because I really enjoyed what I did catch.
