This week rollcall

Two good ones:

Pfisters/Landlords/White Suns/Needle Gun at Ruintown (2980 Falls Road, Baltimore)

Theo Angell/Zomes/Moon Pie/Kohoutek at The Cherch (1616 NJ AVE NW)

I'll be at the latter as mentioned earlier.
Nice… Ive been meaning to check out Kohoutek live for a while now, so maybe tonight will be the night. Im very skinny with a shaved head/beard and should be with a short skinny blonde, if you want to say hi if we go.
Nouvelle Vague was the prefect way to spend a Saturday night with.  Lots of fun and a group that didn't take themselves to seriously at times.  Great and very versatile band, one minute it's a samba take on "Ever Fallen In Love" and then it's a 60's girl group take on "Blister In The Sun". And I actually prefer their live version of "To Drunk To Fuck", it's become a sassy romp with a twist of irony.

Anyone know the second to last song they did tonight?
Answering my own question it's was "Not Knowing" by a band called Minimal Contact who I never heard of before…
Clientele Tuesday
St. Vincent Wednesday
Screen Vinyl Image/Ceremony Friday
Drunkdriver Saturday

Edit: ouch. Marshall Allen is in DC the same night Drunkdriver are in Baltimore.
st. vincent wednesday.
St. Vincent Wednesday too.
I planned to go to the St. Vincent show, but saw a recent setlist and she's doing the same set when she opened for Andrew Bird. She'll totally ignore the first album, save for one or two songs. LAME.
SVI/Ceremony/Dead Leaf Echo/Last Tide - Friday
Ceremony/Dead Leaf Echo……may leave before SVI comes on (just too late for me)
Wild Beasts, saturday.

where's that "u old lol" picture you've been known to post? ;D
He lives way the fuck out in nowheresville now. Yes, more nowheresville than Germantown.

I now know who wears the pants in Joe's relationship. I'll give you a hint; it's not Joe.
here's hoping the Clientele will not bore anyone tonite lol

i'll be at black joe lewis I think…
Clientele was good. Went way overkill on the reverb but that was sort of expected. Nice mix of new and old.

<insert "talkers at concerts need to have their larynxes cut out" rant here>
Zbigniew Karkowski played one of the worst excuses for a set I've ever seen last night. Luckily, the opener duo's set was worth the price of admission. T-Model Ford is a badass. 2 and a quarter hours with no breaks and his vocals/guitar playing seemed to get stronger as the night went on. Sounded like he was having a ball. Shirks were good as always. Has Velvet ever been mobbed like that?

This week:
Atomic Tuesday
Head Molt/Stress Ape/Layne Stailey/Grier-Gaybomb Wednesday
Maybe the Big Bear Cafe noise thing Friday

Shirks tonight
Bob Mould @ Easton on Friday
anyone else @ muse/sspu tonight?
I will be at Muse tonight and for wed night in Baltimore  ;D
Shout Out Louds/Freelance Whales @ Music Hall of W'burg - tonight.

cant wait. never got around to listening to the new album and ive not heard the greatest things about it - so Ill be in for a surprise.
did anyone make it to These Are Powers at Velvet last week?  Might check them out in Baltimore this Friday.
