Did anyone else catch Earthless last night at Ottobar?  Fantastic show.

I have to confess, I did not. instead, I was at home watching Schitt's Creek, Never Have I Ever, and Better Call Saul.

What makes you want to switch from show to show throughout an evening?

I grew up in the 1970's and 1980's. I can handle an episode of any given  show once or twice a week. Very few shows are bingeworthy.

+1
did you get a 400 level seat?  How do you know if you are upgraded, do you find out when you arrive?

Just saw tickets in the 100's for 38+fees each. Thinking maybe I should have waited.

The way you go on even years later about meeting that dude makes me think I should never, ever meet you!

your apprehension is warranted, but he is known to show up with an unusually large bottle of vodka, so there is that

also, his wife is much cooler than he is, so you might get to hang with her is the other option

It's really good. You should go see it.

Caught it in Georgetown. One of the loudest theater-going experiences in my life. The first half is extremely indulgent (and yes, I understand it's representative of his meteoric rise and the craze surrounding his early career). I momentarily considered walking out. Glad I didn't though as it becomes far more relaxed and quite enjoyable in the 2nd half.

Overall recommend, but tolerance may vary.

they were just following his explicit instructions

It was a "normal" volume in Columbia. Kinda wished it was a little louder.
Anybody going to New Order/Pet Shop Boys?

I picked the worst week to go on vacation. For the right price, I would have chosen to see New Order/PSB, Father John Misty, DCFC, and Laufey.

But instead I'll be hiking in the Southwest.
Yeah…I will be going. Only been looking forward to this for two and a half years and will be in the pit right up front!!

New Order is pretty much my favorite band. And Pet Shop Boys not that far behind….and Paul Oakenfold is God. It’s quite the bill really…can’t wait..it’s going to be sick

Only minus is I will not be getting backstage or getting my records signed…dispiriting

Oh and I had an extra pit ticket cause my partner said no go and the two people I reached out to blew me off even though it was free. I listed it on stubhub but am feeling kind of down… I need new and younger friends. Anyways I will be flying solo…say hi
You go on vacation a lot.
