What Are You Listening To?

I'm not going to be tired of these anytime soon….

So I'm trying to listen to everything in iTunes (in psuedo-reverse alphabetical order cuz why not?), and I'm to the Silversun Pickups.  I couldn't help think of this:

I agree with Joe. Something about SSPU just kinda pisses me off, including the fact that they're playing DAR. But I like Against Me and would enjoy a set of their tunes.

And I think I know what it is.  In theory, I should love this, but it just seems so sterile.  It's like a rocking version of Sufjan Stevens…it's like robots perform the songs on the album.  Makes me think I should give them a chance live…but I'm not going to.
So you're saying they's go well with a Miller Chill?

Exactly…meaning I want no part of either.

great suggestion, listened to 3 tracks so far and i can see their addictive qualities.  a tad cheesy at times, but hey, i'm a cheesy person.  RIYL cut copy, friendly fires, klaxons, etc.
Staggeringly, awesomely brilliant. RIYL Future of the Left, Jay Reatard, Pixies etc etc

^^^ Yeah, this is great. I couldn't for the life of me put my finger on who it sounded like, and now I realized the band I was trying to think of was Future of the Left
this is on constant repeat as of late prob since a friend is helping out with their tour and im constantly gathering all the info about how the tour is going. if anyone is seeing them on this tour — please let me know how the show was, specifically the lighting.

Bear in Heaven
i'm listening to the thoughts in my head tell me that brain wallace is really dupek.  one time dupek contacted me, right before he got booted off here, begging me to help him with his image because "i related to him or shared his sense of 'something'" on the forum.  i was new back then and didn't really know how to respond.  so i told him basically "you made your bed . . ."  oh you silly thing, you really gone and done it now.  kiss kiss.

Dupek contacted me once too.  He wanted to know if I could get him some weed.  I think he had me confused with Thirsty Moore.
Pitchfork Music Fest live feed.

So I'm not anti-Pitchfork by any means, but it's super odd to me that Robyn is some hot new commodity.  I mean, my gay brother was rockin' her in middle school in the mid-90's.  Why did I mention he was gay?  Why not?

gay is the new indie . . . on here atleast.
Way into the debut 7" from Myles Cooper, "Gonna Find Boyfriends Today".

The video is also pretty moving.

"Today we're gonna find boyfriends today. Today."

That should be everyone's mantra at all times, everywhere, forever.
This is a song and idea that I can identify with!

El Guincho "Piratas de Sudamerica Vol. 1" EP

Dirty Projectors + Björk "Mount Wittenberg Orca" EP

Apple lossless and MP3, $7 minimum donation

Pretty nice. If you're familiar with the artists then you kinda know what to expect.

That song is about drugs right?  Because the video certainly is.
