What Are You Listening To?

<img src="http://www.cardboardrecords.com/images/cbr008.jpg" alt=" - " />

I prefer albums over comps, but this one is pretty great. Nice flow, and I've not heard of most of the bands, so it gives me some new stuff to look for. In the vein of Fuck Buttons and Raccoo-oo-oon, who are both on here. I read a comment by someone who said it's like a modern noise-rock version of Nuggets, and that rang true.

LOVE AND CIRCUITS – a 2 CD, 57 band scene report culling a wide variety of punk, noise, experimental, folk, and electronic music. For your convenience, the tracks are alphabetized by band name. 77.2% of these songs are exclusive to the comp. Of special note is the contribution from Trey Told 'Em (Girl Talk and Hearts of Darknesses' new remix project) – a mashup track of all the other 56 submissions!

Getting excited for the show. :D
awesome, thanks for link.

i'm also looking forward to this show. i just realized this past weekend that i had tickets to both M83 and The Presets on the same night in Philly (they're both playing in DC the following night, so same show conflict here too). my Preset tickets are now on CL - would love to catch them, but not at the expense of M83.

i was eyeing that in my desperate search for something worth downloading on emusic, i was kind of scared by the description, I guess I will try
Good pick. I've been listening to the new M83 a LOT lately and while I didn't like it at first, I'm really coming around to it hard. Would love to see the BC show, but it won't be happening.
its fairly different from what I usually listen to but I like it - I'm not crazy about MIA but there are only 1 or 2 songs that evoke her (and quite honestly I prefer her MIA-like songs to anything MIA has done)

it's pretty awesome, "Kim & Jessie" is quickly becoming my favorite song of 2008
Kraftwerk2

Before Kraftwerk call it quits, they have to revisit their pre-Autobahn material.

Seems like alot more yelling and a lot less singing than the last album. Not a good thing in my book.

I love this album. Mothership Connection gets all the attention, but I always come back to this one.
