What Are You Listening To?

"BookerT: i can't help but compare everything to "tyranny of distance," and that's tough to top."

Hearts of Oak????
pollard – i'm pretty sure "writer's block" is a 2006 release, but it's still damn good … miles better than "falling out"
doh, you are correct, but its 2007 to me, and it is better than falling out but falling out wasnt awful

this is the reid brothers teaming back up, with their sister handling vocals. it's good; sounds like "stoned and dethroned," especially the song with hope sandoval, which i love.
I'm listening to the new shins record. It's ok.
For whatever reason, I feel like it should be Winter semester my freshman year of college (1992) when I'm listening to it.
(also the time matthew sweet's girlfriend and teenage fanclub's bandwagonesque came out. And i was dating a guy who was really into the housemartins so maybe that's it.)
Leftover Crack "Fuck World Trade"
I kinda like the Bomb Repeat Bomb song…..

The new Ted Leo has several good/great songs mixed in with a lot of middling stuff. A little editing could have made it a better album. 6.9 Z's

They had that 'Chicken Payback' song (which I loathed) a couple of years back. The new album is pretty good.
