What Are You Listening To?
CLAY - Orange
since females singing soul over acoustic guitars is on trend these days, i first heard CLAY on The Chi and decided to check her out… really need to keep Shazam handy when watching The Chi lots of interesting music in that series
here is a video

and yes searching for clay soul singer is a bit tricky and there are several artists already using that moniker..

Nick Cave - Ghosteen
I have warmed up to it
I notice Nick has a new b sides and rarities compilation coming out
Still don’t have Carnage

Yes… but not lately. And most of the album is a throwaway.
Throwaway
Búa ha ha
Television is the link between VU and Luna
Anyways YMMV and that’s a-ok

That’s a cd which has some great bonus tracks …key like Little Johnny Jewel
A few years ago I found the US LP for 99 cents but no cover…Two decades ago the Argentine issue LP for a few bucks… cover is printed kind of weird which is cool
I think the key to Television is understanding they were the first
Before talking heads or Patti smith (who of course shacked up with Verlaine as part of her relentless sleep her way to the top campaign) or Ramones or Blondie… they put CBGB on map
They just didn’t release an album til after everyone else and by then history had moved on, even they had changed and they were left in the dust
When I listen to Verlaine I can totally hear where Patti Smith got a lot from…
