What Are You Listening To?

Horses - Patti

Man, that’s some visceral shit
I’ve been listening to this album for decades and it gets me every single time

The first 3 albums by The Polyphonic Spree / Pink Floyd The Wall / and every song every recorded by The Strokes are examples of such.

And it really sucks when those bands in question really let you down with a new album.

well, if it's any consolation, there will never be another pink floyd album…
Every song recorded by the Strokes?

I feel like they sucked for 15 years!

Their last album- Rick Rubin Reclamation Project #87- is killer though..
Every, single, song.

War - The Very Best of War

for the third morning in a row.. for some reason this is just a great first thing in the morning listen…

We were listening to this last night.

Fantastic

I remember this monument to Mercer in Savannah

Probably the Crowes album I listen to most these days. Good stuff.
I know right?

I am just burnt out out on Southern Harmony Musical Companion but “Band” is great and am just getting into it..
From what I've heard of the new Dino, it's their most accessible record to date. Is this a good thing or bad thing?  Kurt's influence?

Your thoughts?

I had never heard this in mono..one of my favorites.. it benefits from different mono mix..after having listened to the regular stereo mix hundreds of times it’s a bit strange..generally mono mixes don’t do much for me but with one of my favorites it’s cool to hear

I snapped this up instantly at the record store..will probably never see it in the wild  again
I am having a hard time accepting the new, Dinosaur Jr 🦕 album.
The Who - The Who Sell Out

great album but does one really need it expanded to be 5 discs??
No

Have you heard the Petra Haden cover of the album

Pretty cool listen one time

Uh oh. Why’s that?
Two words: Kurt Vile.

Not sure what that means, exactly. Is the album more folksy?

More melodic. Less crunchy guitar.

I like it way more than i thought i was going to. And I don't even care for Kurt Vile that much.

I definitely don't think its bad but its not what I expected from a Dino Jr record, that's for sure.
