Has anyone checked out that Beck Record Club version of VU & Nico? Just ran through it and it's pretty great. Pretty inventive but still faithful to the originals Super loose sounding, but I guess that's the point. Honestly, this is probably the most interesting thing he's done in a decade. The first Leonard Cohen song didn't strike me much, but still interested to hear it.

I know he just started Songs of Leonard Cohen, but I read it was going to be EVOL, which is probably a bit radder than Daydream. Seems like it would have more room to experiment with that one. Either way, it's a pretty interesting concept, for sure.

Songs of Leonard Cohen is being done with Devendra "please stop making music, already" Banhart and MGMT so if it sounds like anything more than shit, I'll be impressed.

You'r right, it is EVOL. I remembered reading it was gonna be a Sonic Youth release but was too lazy to go back to it and fact check which one. For some reason I was thinking DN. I even posted about it awhile back in the

The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir
…and the horse you rode in on
Reminds me of Pulp circa "Different Class" with extra smidgen of Punk and Twang, it was released on Bloodshot after all…

In spite of the presence of the little twerp on the upper left, this album is quite good.

Pretty psyched for this on Sunday. Thanks to econo for getting me to listen to this years ago.
Also, thanks to whoever recommended that Nadja covers album. I didn't know about that until it was posted on here…pretty rad.

Night 1 of Nick Cave's club run from last year.
What an incredible show it was! And the recording quality is perfect.

Golden Vessyl of SoundI still love this. It's so soft and fuzzy, like one of Walkonby's little kitties. :D

Wow, all the songs they have posted so far have been terrible. I liked the VU covers a lot more.
