What Are You Listening To?

Spycamera
The Slambovian Circus of Dreams
Grinderman 2
Billie Holiday- Quintessential volume 6

I think this is my favorite music. Her Columbia sides

Finally got on lp. 6 is tough to find. 7 very tough (only pressed in Europe and Brazil) and 8 and 9 impossible (ultra limited pressing in Brazil)

It’s kind of a crime there isn’t a comprehensive vinyl box of her complete Columbia recordings.
This came in the mail today and I'm quite enjoying it
three lps
The All Seeing Dolls album “Parallel”the pandemic collaboration between Anton Newcombe and Dot Allison.  Getting Cocteau Twins meets Mazzy Stars vibes
Grinderman 2

If you miss the old Nick give it a click
Mick Harvey - Pink Elephants

It’s hard to believe that the bad seeds included Blixa, Harvey and Barry Adamson at the beginning. What a lineup!

I just couldn’t wait any longer to grab this….

Heavenly pure rock and roll.
Is This What We Want? - 1,000 UK

So this isn’t a silent record but rather the recorded sounds of empty studios.  So background noise, people walking, what sounds like an animal purring.  Now of course I want to know which track is Kate Bush’s studio, etc

I upgraded to lp. Found a nice copy on eBay for $7 delivered.

Costello’s 2018-2022 three album run is a return to form. I haven’t checked out the Coward Brothers one yet.

From now on for new purchases I will now post purchase price of items. $4.50+$6.99 shipping plus tax.

Side b includes early versions of songs - cut in Brussels in 1984-that would be re-recorded a year or two later in NYC for Tango zero hour which is one of the greatest albums ever released.

this may well be a shortcoming on my part, but i refuse to pay more in shipping for an item than the price of the actual item.  yes, it's stupid, and no, i don't know why.  it's something  just can't grok.

Totally agree

But what if the price is a real bargain?

I tried to find another item from buyer in order to combine shipping. But there just wasn’t anything else.

it does grind my gears too, but I look at total price to evaluate
