it's called scratch, by serato. the "LPs" contain time code, which is read by the needle and fed back to the software. the speed and start position of the (digital) music is controlled by the time code on the vinyl. moving the vinyl = change the music. music is coming from the computer, the records are controllers.

I had a few of those!
I really wish I had bought the complete specialty sessions..it’s sort of a Rosetta Stone of rock and roll..I nearly pulled trigger on it many times
