I WENT TO THIS SHOW :)

I *think* I went to the 4/17/94 show at Patriot Center.  I have a distinct memory of Cracklin' Rose…

I was at that one.
I got the Grateful Dead's new 1990 Spring Tour box ("The Other One") last week.  It sounds fantastic so far.  Unfortunately, it's making me realize how little uninterrupted listening time I get these days.  I can't wait to really dive into this.

with the Commotions?
Not with the Commotions, but a shift away from his more recent acoustic folk leaning albums… He has the keyboard player from the Commotions on board and Matthew Sweet on bass..
saturday housecleaning OST shuffle:

budos band - burnt offering
africafunk - return to the original sound of 1970's funky Africa
culture & the deejay's - at joe gibbs 1977-79
dubwise & otherwise - a blood and fire audio catalogue
burning spear - living dub volume two

evening chill-out:

thom yorke - tomorrow's modern boxes (vinyl was worth the wait - cool packaging in re-sealable bag)
shellac - dude incredible (vinyl comes w/cd that looks blank on both sides)
Boston Spaceships- Let it Beard

my shipment from rockathon arrived today..

my gbv entry point was 'universal truths and cycles' which kicks butt in my opinion - tour stop at metro in pittsburgh was incredible - 50 song setlist - not unusual I know now, but for a newbie, holy cow!
and the miller lite did flow!
lewis - l'amoure

I definitely recommend Multicult to all Shellac fans.  I am not saying they are the exact same (multicult has more intense singing in my opinion) but the guitar and drum play remind me a bit of each other.

Their newest one

My favorite by them
