what the heck was that on the lower right
and how many of those did you already own?
I bet a lot

that's our boy wilco.
a severe critic, for sure.
he prefers bebop, opera, traditional bluegrass, post-punk.
a bowie aficionado, especially 'diamond dogs' and the opening to 'station to station'.
tolerates radiohead, a soft spot for miles and chet.
yard sale for boardies only, t.b.a.
kraftwerk - radioactivity
their pinnacle, for me.
in a $2 box, along with elp 1st, trilogy and brain salad surgery w/poster.
crazy yard sale - $30 for root boy slim's 1st, $10 for signed sting's "blue turtles" (looked bogus), other arbitrary prices for other common items.
did not succumb.

the earliest ray charles lp (rock & roll on atlantic 8006 from 1957 original black label) and one of the earliest.. the ray charles live at newport on atlantic 1289 from 1958 (original green label stereo pressing)

I love me some Atlantic Records Ray Charles….about 10 years ago at jazz fest we were at a mainly dixieland jazz place and happened to run into Renald Richard.. what a thrill that was… really nice man..

^ naw, you're cool.
Skatalites- Foundation Ska compilation (disc 1)

finally picked this up…
otis redding - the dock of the bay
would have loved to have obsevered any of those legendary stax/volt sessions, preferably seated between wayne jackson and andrew love.
how they made 2 horns sound like 3 is beyond me.
Manic Street Preachers - 4st 7lb
Skatalites- Foundation Ska (CD 1)

this stuff can sure be addictive….
Skatalites- Foundation Ska (CD2)

anybody else use dealoz? I set a price on it and got a headsup email that someone had posted a copy for sale at my price or below.. ended up getting this for $5 plus shipping..its OOP and usually goes for like $30-$50

Taj Mahal- In Progress & In Motion 1965-1998 box set CD1

I still don't have that record. I do love Kingdom Come though, great stuff.
george gruntz concert jazz band '83 on ecm
sheila jordan is a jazz vocal goddess.
w/howard johnson, mark egan, tom harrell, bob moses, palle mikkelborg, julian preister, dave bargeron, marcus belgrave, david taylor, charlie mariano, dino saluzzi and those are just the names that I recognize.
thelonius monk - straight no chaser
only my 2nd monk on cbs experience.
apparently producer orrin keepnews shelled out the extra $ to tune the piano.
monk's genius shines in a new light, but still finds a way to make it sound in need of a good tuning.

Used to have several OMRs, including that one. Aja was the best sounding one.
Steely Dan- Gaucho Audiophile 1/2 speed mastering
bowie - space oddity
overlooked and underloved, don't sleep on this one, side 2 especially.
"god knows i'm good" - one of the best 3 shoplifting songs i've ever heard.
