I think it's amazing, and it's definitely unlike anything she's done before.

"Grow, Grow, Grow" is by far the best song on there…I think it'll be recieved as one of the best albums of the year.
Okay, so i officially LOVE this album.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

It's very specific… and I know there are times when I won't want to listen to it… even like on an incredibly sunny summer Saturday… it just won't feel right…but… it's so evocative and invokes such clear strong images and sensations for me.

and it's CREEPY AS FUCK.

'Grow Grow Grow' sounds like it's straight out of the last scene of "Flowers in the Attic" or a movie about this really crazy town in the bible belt and all the kids are inbred and speaking in tongues and end up going on a killing spree using pitch forks and nooses made from horse hair all in the name of the holy spirit.

What else?

I think that 'The Devil', 'Grow Grow Grow', 'Before Departure' and 'The Mountain' are my favorites right now…

…and I'd love to hear her play this album straight through at the show.

x

Did you not like the first one? I found it a lot like Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, only a little less poppy. Much more like a Cure album…
It gets better, but it's not as good as Howl, Howl.

I would agree. I certainly didn't find it awful.

I really liked Howl Howl, which is why I didnt like this one. I didnt find it like the cure at all, and not poppy at all, which was the reason the first one was good. But to be honest I started skipping through songs because I became very bored with it, I will give it a full listen today.

Did not like this at first. After about 4 or 5 listens I think its great.
of course now all I hear on some songs from the Shout Out Louds album is the cure
I am a little behind the times, so right now, I'm listening to the new Spoon. Very catchy.

love this album. reminded me of the cure on first listen. after seeing them live, i love it even more. i think i might like it better than the HHGG, but then i hear HHGG and love it all over again.

i really wish i could see them more than once on their 2nd time around, but morrissey got in the way of that.
