"Game of Pricks"? 7"? Pun definitely intended.

I can barely listen to the album version of "Game of Pricks" anymore. That single version is just too killer.BookerT wrote:
ha, not really. on the "entertained for a while." five GBV 7"s, so about 30 songs, so about an hour, a little less. man, those alternate versions of "hunting knife" and "game of pricks" are so fucking awesome.
and if you don't feel like pulling out the 7", it's on Hardcore UFOs

they've got cruise control on, and i still love it
The comp I got in UK in 95 or so, turned me on to the whole britpop thing. Pulled it out tonight and its great hearing one killer single after another.
went to see these guys last night, only because of the name . . . and after one song i was in love. by the end of the show, i had bought both their albums and am looking forward to when they come back to my "neck of the woods" at camp barefoot. right on! man, i have a wicked hangover.

Gotta love this guy. This is really good but doesn't leave the "OMG this album is pure perfection!" impression that his last one did.

Mellow shoegaze from Philly.

Even the Pigpen versions? That's crazy-talk. Even if so - this is a great release.

Good one. My favorite song on here is 'Honey' though 'Washout' is the song they push - my 2nd favorite. What's yours?
Wish I could have seen them when they played the Metro Gallery last July. Hope they come back sometime when I can make the show.
Jaguar wrote:Right now it is Washout, with Hermissenda in second. I am going to try and catch the Screen Vinyl Image/Ports of Call show this week at Velvet and that should be a great show.

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix by Phoenix–
Have heard about five or so songs- all somewhat similar sounding, very breezy, overall great. Can't wait for the full release should be a great spring/summer record…

Watch it…. Soul Music deep cuts is a very slippery slope, once you get started you just want to keep hearing more :D
Yep, already discovered there's a "More Dirty Laundry" album.
