Early Phil Lesh is so great
Phil and Friends were cool late 90s/early 00s…saw a great double bill with Bob Dylan about 2000 in Baltimore. Ratdog around the same time was abysmal.
Phil was a good dude. His life force will be missed.
A very good friend of mine, major deadhead and concert running partner who passed away years ago took some pictures of Phil playing with his son and got them to Phil who sent back the nicest thank you note…said something like “thanks for sending me these that capture one of the happiest days of my life.” When my friend passed I kept the note. I will see if I can find it.

Robyn just performed a song - I think “Chinese Bones”-in memory of Phil. He said it’s the only song of his the Dead ever performed and he thinks they did so cause of Suzanne Vega and it sounded like only Phil had listened to his song.
