What Are You Listening To?
I confuse Beta Band with Budos Band. Like, I read that Steve Mason from Beta Band has a new album coming out, but my brain thought of Budos Band.
Can’t go wrong with either!
Fake Names - Expendables
I thought by law all Fugazi related projects were to mentioned in these parts..
anyways I totally judged the group by it's name when I saw, name suggests lame indie rock… but, i saw the review and turns out it's quite the punk super group…
Fake Names is almost exactly what you want from a supergroup made of members of Minor Threat and Bad Religion (guitarist/vocalist Brian Baker), Refused and The (International) Noise Conspiracy (singer Dennis Lyxzén), Fugazi and Rites of Spring (drummer Brendan Canty), S.O.A and Embrace (guitarist/vocalist Michael Hampton), and Girls Against Boys and Soulside (bassist Johnny Temple): loud, fast, in-your-face.
Going in on the their first album soon

Five Fingers Of Funk - Slap Me 5
Diving into their 90s releases when they bit of anomaly with a rapper being backed first by a five piece band and then an added 3 piece horn section…. Definitely early Hip Hop vibes here with the live musicians bring the funk
Looking forward to their re-union album due this year on Kill Rock Stars.

Tricky - False Idols
no missing samples!
The B-52s on repeat
DSOTM MFSL ULTRADISC II

Curiously I found this at a thrift store inside a case for Bob Dylan’s Freewheelin’. I looked for the right case but couldn’t find it.
And if you’re wondering: I can’t tell much difference between this version and the regular version. Truth be told never heard a bad sounding version of this album and the CDs all sound audiophile to me.

Didn't have any must listen to new releases today until I heard about Das Koolies which is Super Furry Animals minus Gruff.
First EP from them is out today
Hit-writing anti-icons, Das Koolies emerge to explode three decades of digression as Super Furry Animals with the electronic depth-charge debut EP: The Condemned
Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Dafydd Ieuan and Guto Pryce restore original Furry vision with techno-inspired, heavy-tech sound inspired by illegal rave roots.

Petra Hayden - Sings: The Who Sell Out
the one where she sings all the vocal and instrumental parts of the album… which i learned today she spent 3 years working on and done on a 8 track recorder

Bjork was so unique in the 90s, does she still tour?
