Of course not but it’s apples and oranges
What Are You Listening To?
One of the best I own. Love to fool people with its faux 8-track façade.
I am loving this new Caroline Rose album
Side 1 has some great songs
To be lonely
conversation with shiv (liquid k song)
We don’t talk anymore
Gives me a early era MtGoats feel
Fairly dynamic and melodic even though she is the only one on there and it’s recorded on her iPhone no less… still sounds great to me
Would be interesting if a bunch of different bands rercorded these songs
I think she should have named it “how to not get heard”
Although, I guess the scarcity made me pay more attention to it

Sung in Amharic this is an Ethiopian singer backed by a French combo influenced by the 1970s Ethiopian jazz rock sound.
It rocks hard
You can tell the description of their album was translated into English as there some odd word choices here

I've been listening to Jethro Tull this morning. Thick as a Brick and Living In The Past.

John Coltrane joins The Doors and a sharp-dressed Ethiopan Preacher to cover Black Sabbath. Not the heroes we deserve, but the heroes we need.
the sax player is tearing it up for the guitar parts/solos
Thee Allyrgic Reaction
