The new Jason Isbell album is top notch. My daughter pointed out that she really liked track #2. She's usually a very vocal critic of dad's music selections, so it was great to hear a positive review from her. When I played the album again a few days later, she asked "Is this Jason Isbell?"
I also played Cyndi Lauper's "She's So Unusual" for her. She pointed out that the second track on that one was also her favorite ("Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"). I countered that "She Bop" was my favorite…she asked me what the song was about…I had to lie and tell her it was "about dancing".
