Trust me, both those publications are sacred IMO, but I never forgot their shittakes on JA
Thanks man, really appreciate the support. Always nice to meet a fan.

The fact that the reviewer actually trashes Eric Avery’s bass is a major tell that this is a calculated shit take. Or he just doesn’t get it at all.
Was also interesting to learn the band starts with Eric and Perry.  The first demo (not ever released) doesn't even have Navarro on it
I first saw JA in 88 when they were on tour with Iggy Pop, not sure if I’d have heard of them prior to that.  But, it probably prompted me to buy the CD.  The thing I remember most about their set, was they brought out an ice cooler and stuck a microphone under it and proceeded to drum on it.

The Pride of Ann Arbor, and also Iggy Pop! What a tour!

Not a fan. Worst mushroom ever. The fact that they make me violently ill might indicate I have an allergy.

Bordeline Buñuelian.

This track was included on The Wire Tapper 62. The whole EP is a blast of punk hyperpop from Buenos Aires.
RIYL Boredoms, Moor Jewelry, 100 gecs.
The Bigger Lovers

The Tisbury's posted the question of what's your favorite Philly Power Pop song and I'm like you want me to choose a favorite Bigger Lovers song?  Damn The Biggers Lovers were good wotj so many great songs to choose, even some of those buried in the middle of a CD still standout… Since hey pulled from so many  influences, it doesn't all blend together like some Power Pop outfits.

wow, was not expecting that
all his recorded music is nothing like that (although I have not heard his new album Austin)
Autonomy The Productions of Martin Rushnet

Won a contest Ace Records was having and this is one the items they sent me.

Most of these are well known tracks, but a couple tracks I've never heard of Leisure Process, Intaferon and Hard Corps.

Was also surprised to see that he had produced Flop's "Whenever You're Ready" which was seriously overlooked great lost power pop album.
School of Fish

What a monster tune “3 Strange Days” still is

And fuck cancer…
since it's unpopular opinion day…

The Stone Roses - Second Coming

Is still standing the test of time, Squire is just rifftastic on this one  and quite frankly this album hits pretty darn hard

Be Your Own Pet still exists!?
They're back, baby.  First album in 15 years, I think?  Pretty good, but then again, I'm a sucker for those original two albums
