What Are You Listening To?

And then I found the financial accounts for tjinders company..how much he paid himself last year (dividends he took out)

And pictures of his house, it’s appreciated half a million pounds since he bought it..nice place..big red double decker runs by right on corner

are you magnum PI now?
Well when I really get into a musician I like to find out shit and Tjinder has been a bit of a recluse for the past 18 years

And I was a bit worried about tjinder..like I have this strong connection to his music so I wanted to know more…

It’s amazing what’s out there.. if you know how to look

Zoinks!
No worries..only for good
Is there a superhero called internet man that uses his internet skills for good?
Poster from ill fated 2010 show…damnit

Y’all do know if I was the one telling a jaunty tale of googling publicly available info about someone, Yada would be foaming at the mouth, right?
Isn’t this different, though?

I also found Bob Pollard’s home address and pics of his house!

That’s about it…
I mean I don’t even know yada’s full name so how could I look him up?

Moreover I use my internet mojo for good..like don’t worry about Tjinder, he’s got this
Ian Hunter - Short Back n Sides (duh)

Forgot how much I enjoyed this album way back when…

Cornershop is very high up there on my “still active bands I’d love to see live yet never have” list. Like top three minimum.

bases on this tweet…not looking likely at all

No we were not planning, as we have not toured for years, opting to remain in the recording studio only.  Our touring days are done, sorry ⛱
If there was enough money they would do it but there isn’t

Pretty sure their last US tour attempt in 2010 was cancelled cause ticket sales weren’t there..I could be wrong though

But yeah they or Tjinder has been clear that they are done touring which is a shame. When they played US in 2002 I was in Argentina

Why did I miss them circa 1998? No idea…maybe I was traveling for work…

What I did hear about DC show was pretty mixed..very short show with Tjinder berating crowd… I trust my source but when I questioned him last time in March he seemed to have mellowed about it

I do think Tjinder is a bit of a studio whiz kid and it’s hard to replicate the sound live

Another thing I was thinking about was they own www.cornershop.com domain name..that has to be worth a serious chunk of change in the UK..
It’s kind of rich of Tjinder to cite a preference for studio work over touring…I think we should expect the next Cornershop album in 2033!!
Didn't realize they opened for Oasis at the Patriot Center in 98 too (January)
less than two months after their Nov 20 97 9:30 show

then they come back to the 9:30 4 months later in 98 (May)

They only list 40 US dates total (on setlist.fm)
Makes sense..Noel is or was a huge fan..even played on Handcream
