I need to give that Deerhoof a spin.
What Are You Listening To?
Super Taranta!
Listening to Silver Jews. Did not know them until I saw a recommendation in last.fm while listening to pavement. they seem very good.
Hawkwind: Doremi Faso Ladtido
The new Lambchop is great. Not sure if it's something that non-regular Lambchop listeners will enjoy, but it's soft and subtle and very moving. Also, it has probably the best packaging of any release this year.
Also, I just heard this band Dead Western. I'm still waiting for the LP to come in the mail, but from the one track I heard, I'm really excited. I'll get back to you guys after I hear it.

the band is back to their old form. it's not going to convert anyone, but fans of their classic blues-rock sound will gobble it up. brian johnson sounds exactly like he did 20 years ago. huge air-guitar potential throughout the album.
i'm also of the opinion that performed live, these songs are going to kick all sorts of ass. SO. CAN'T. WAIT.

Drever, McCusker and Woomble
Before The Ruin
Another side project for Idlewild's singer Roddy, nicely done folk rock.

It currently feels like my brain is being drilled into by ridiculously high, sharp audio frequencies and it's starting to make me dizzy. . This can't be too healthy.

The Fallen Aristocracy (EP)
Calling out Kosmo, Mankie and Brennser for this one. A trio from Denmark who sound like the love child of Moz and The Autumns. It's quite good!
