What Are You Listening To?

I'm not finding the Styles single very compelling, despite all the attention it seems to be getting…

With that said I'm warming to Little Mix at moment.  And of course tracking new K-pop :D

i really like that feeling you get when you listen to an album that you haven't listened to in forever, and that clip in time you get of a sensation being taken back to the moments of your life when that album was one of the king listening choices to your world.

like for me, i put on the pulp fiction soundtrack and was magically transported to the year it came out, and what i was doing and who i was hanging out with back then.  when was the last time you allowed yourself to listen to an album all the way through, letting the emotions of each song put a smile on your face . . . or an anger downward frown of getting fired up?

i think next i will listen to the beastie boys licensed to ill, which i was given a cassette of by my father, when i was in the 5th grade, i think.  there are people who tell you to ignore the past, for it will destroy you, and then there are others who relish in it . . . because it is fun.

found a french pressing of genesis live "second's out" - a band and album that i had not listened to since college, nor would i brag about.
but wow, did it sound fantastic and entertaining.
this was soon after phil took over vocals and shared live drumming duties with bill bruford and their music was still epic and majestic.
Electro complied by Joey Negro

Always digging that old school electro, which I have come to appreciate even given these tracks were done with live musicians in a studio on to tape.  No fancy digital editing here..

It takes two to make a thing go right, it takes two to make it out of sight.
Bob Dylan - Biograph. A friend gave me their 5 LP set. Not his biggest fan but this stuff is really good.
I been listening to a ton of neil young (while I read his book) and robyn hitchcock…
