What Are You Listening To?

I have an mp3 copy of that Heads/Wooden Shjips split.

Yeah, it's awesome.

I like the Heads side more.
I just finally listened to the new U2 song , and it sounds like that Escape Club song, Wild Wild West.

north, east, west, south all in the same house!

A.C. Newman's new one is…pretty damn great. Catchy as hell, smart, great writing…its pretty perfect.
Ehh…I found it bland.

sorry to hear about that.  don't worry, it'll pass.

Do people here like this band/album? Or did I miss the hipster backlash? Over the first few months I liked a few songs, now I love the whole album. 'Future Reflections' on now.

I love the album, hate them live.  They do have a nice album sound.

I decided to check them out since they are on the Bonnaroo, and cant believe I missed them.
Couple catchy songs but most of their material is forgetable IMO.
I think there's about 2 songs on the album I can do without but I like most of it. Like to hear where they'd go with their 2nd album.

THIS is amazing, Yuksek is an electronic producer but this album sounds like lost [ironically] MGMT/Cut Copy/Midnight Juggernaut songs. Or sort of a mixture of all 3. I'm really surprised by this. Definetly suggest picking this up and giving it a spin, I think one time through is all you need to love this album.

Apes & Androids - Blood Moon: love me some glam rock.  i'm pissed that i missed their recent show in williamsburg.

Zeigeist - The Jade Motel: really wanted to like this one, but the first listen left me indifferent.  maybe it's a grower, i'll give it another spin.

Cosmic Balearic Beats Vol.1 - tasty, sultry chill house/electro lounge/space disco/etc.  great music to listen to while working, for me.  highly recommended for fans for slower-paced yet funky EDM.

Mogwai 5/22/02 Ottobar.

Did anyone go to this? This "My Father My King" ending with the "Amazing Grace" vocals on top must've been jarring live to say the least.

Late Of The Pier "Fantasy Black Channel"

Listening to 'The Bears Are Coming', really effing quirky.

They're playing at the club the 7th, is this an opening spot or are they headlining?
Ani Difranco is on the 7th (of march).
Whoa, I meant April. Dunno how I forgot that bit of info. It's on their space but the event schedule was down when I went to check.
No Age/Zach Hill - Flannel Graduate
I'm playing Depeche Mode's "Violator" on repeat, start to end. It's one of *those* nights.

Just got the full length. So effing into this.
the new Brakes has leaked - solid stuff - Hey Hey is an instant classic - possibly a little more power poppy than its predecessors but thats a plus in my book - right now have it on shuffle with the first two
