What Are You Listening To?

Listening to the 40 song soundtrack to The Wrecking Crew documentary.  Mighty fine collection of great 60s pop songs, plus the disc of just tracks done by just The Wrecking crew.  Is there a more perfect pop song than Monday Morning by the Mama's and Papa's?
new, duran, duran album is very good.  new, slayer album is next to be listened to.  new libertines, is ok, at best.
WXDU Hopscotch Day Party

I think Elisa Ambrogio/Tashi Dorji/Ben Chasny trio is up next.

Nice… I was about to check out the new Duran Duran.
new slayer album

FUCKING RULES
RE Slayer: I did not think it was that good; but I did only listen to it once, as background noise.  Perhaps I will check it out again since you gave it such an enthusiastic review.

I am listening to the new Duran Duran.  I am five songs deep, and really digging it.
Ride
Man…you can hardly call them Slayer anymore. Jeff is dead and they fired Dave Lombardo. I don't really want to support the Kerry King Jagermeister Music Hour…

suicide - american supreme

My sentiment exactly. But apart from that, I just don't like the new record. I've played it 3 times and can't remember a thing about it. And I'm a huge 'Christ Illusion' apologist
well, what do you expect . . . the excellent review came from somebody that said the new duran, duran album was good.

The new Duran Duran IS good…

Depeche Mode - Violator
no, I agree . . . new duran, duran is great, but people who love slayer would laugh at them.  I want to go see them live again, and throw my panties at them.
Go spam the Seth thread.  I already asked for DD twice… They have a huge gap in their tour after they play NYC and before Europe.

nils frahm - late night tales
very cool mix (he calls it 'sound sculpture') of familiar and new (to me) artists.
bonus points for treatment of nina simone's "who knows where the time goes".
some miles/gil evans in there too (sorry hutch).
his dad was a photographer for the ecm label.
it's just easier to enjoy this one on cd.
Mac Miller - GO:OD AM

when they ruled the world…
Last night I was blazed and drunk and put on the new Duran Duran album as a lark and damned if it wasn't a great listen. Those guys are so weird.
