new to me, grittier than usual, can't go wrong with this era.
caught the tail end of one of his tabernacle services a few years ago, preaching/singing, that voice, an experience worth seeking out.

never caught the service. .but there is a great essay about it in chet flippo's book

I don't go as much but when I went to SOM Records in DC I would always see him there behind the desk
^ by the time I found out he sometimes worked there, he had just moved to p-town, ri.
he spinned a cool set of tunes at the dc record fair a few fairs ago and was fun to watch.

whatever happened to these guys? very deep purple-ish but they seemed to fade away into anonymity…

Convulse - World Without God (2010 Reissue)

This is a reissue of the 1992 Debut album of Finnish death metal band Convulse.  They originally dropped two albums and then disappeared for almost two decades, and have released two albums in the last few years since reuniting (though a tiny bit different).

Haha good one. I have that album. Its pretty good even though amg said it was the worst album of all time. I once came across a cragislist ad that said they had a test pressing of a long lost second Atilla album that never came out. I think they wanted a lot of money for it so I didn't grab it but the ad was gone after like a day. I wonder what that one sounded like? It must have been made right when Billy was sleeping with the drummer's wife and caused the duo to split.
wow.. a second Attila album? I find such great news hard to believe!

I am skeptical there could be a second album…

I do actually like the first one… don't get all the hate.. the album cover is hilarious….

I thought I had completed my early Billy Joel collection…

New Radiohead.  Burn The Witch

bowie - the man who sold the world rsd '16 picture disc
beautiful to look at, sounds fantastic (not just "for a picture disc") with sonic details i have not heard on my other editions.
thanks hutch!

james brown - super bad
"recorded live", apparently in front of a rather oddly sedate "audience".
