What Are You Listening To?

My Brightest Diamond, "Tear it Down"
Swans, "Children of God"
Alan Braxe/Fred Falke, "The Upper Cuts"

I'll give this one a solid B, some real killer tracks and a couple just ok ones… Here's hoping that they don't do what the Caesars did with "Jerk It Out"by including slightly different versions of "Be Your Man" on several albums..

For some reason I always thought this was another repackaging of the Shake Society LP. I checked it out on Amazon today and discovered that's not true.
oops. Guess I need to pick this one up.

wow, haven't heard that name in a while.
His body of work is so vast and I only have 2-3 albums.

Any recommendations?

i had a friend who was a chillout DJ, and would occasionally drop some MG in order to make the tripping kiddies freak out… t'was a lot of fun :)

i was never into him much but have enjoyed "lo-fi india abuse" and "beyond the blue mosque", from what i remember. i'm definitely not the right person to ask, tho… he has a huge following, i'm sure there are fan-boards that can make better suggestions.

One of the best 'missed' albums of 2007 for me and another great emusic find….retroish bubblegum pop, kinda like the Pipettes but much much better

i'm listening to the new mudcrutch single… the heartbreakers by any other name…

Mudcrutch was Tom Petty's original band in Florida before The Heartbreakers. The band broke up after an attempt at stardom in Los Angeles in 1975 and Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, and Benmont Tench went on to form the Heartbreakers while Randall Marsh and Tom Leadon left LA to follow other pursuits. Tom Petty reformed the band in 2007 to record the upcoming album, bringing Campbell, Tench, Leadon, Marsh and Petty back together.

The Mudcrutch album will be available everywhere on April 29

i suspect that azaghal might like this one. personally, i might listen to it again but i won't be buying the whole album. i prefer a little more structure and melody to my music.

download "ghosts I" here.
