What Are You Listening To?

Soft Cell "Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go"

Don't know how these two got mashed together.
It's always been that way, one of my favorite 12" records

It feels very much like a mix of songs that would fit on the older albums. Not very cohesive but quality songs.

My guess is all the hip folks on this board were never fans of Blind Melon (ohh!! They had the annoying Bee Girl son) but this is a great cover.

Side note, they have a big kickstarter going right now for a Shannon Hoon documentary that I'm afraid isn't going to hit the goal.
The new Beauty Pill record.  Loving it so far.
Sitting in a gd Roy Rogers being assaulted by country music.  Shazam tells me it's a Band Perry followed by Dwight Yokem
holster fries! oh yeah booooooyyy
Ash - Uke-Clear Sounds - an EP of Ash cover done by Tim on his Uke…
Actually just watching/listening to the latest jools holland on palladia - good episode - songhoy blues, vaccines, laura marling, blur, marc almond - this show has influenced my new music listening for the past few years (elbow, john grant, countless others) - along with mojo and uncut magazines - used to make a monthly trip into DC to the newsstand in the building where Tower Records used to be just to get my fix.  Sad to see they closed.
Fav pop-punk release in recent memory.

Too bad they already broke up.

their best in a while
New Joanna Gruesome new Joanna Gruesome new Joanna Gruesome!

So far so great.

The two part vocal harmonies remind me of Isn't Anything era MBV although everything else sounds very different.
Ike Quebec
Metz II.

Enjoying it more than I thought I would.  Sure it's more of the same-ish, but who cares?

I listened to this twice yesterday. I dig it, but not as much as Weird Sister (I liked the noisiness of that record, and they toned the noise down for a more indie pop sound on this one).
